The Experimental Psychopathology Laboratory (EPL) at the Department of Psychiatry, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) conducts translational and clinical research aiming to develop treatments for individuals with psychosis and related disorders. We are seeking an energetic individual to serve as a Part-Time (30 hrs/week) Clinical Research Coordinator for a number of NIMH-funded studies examining neurocognition and daily functioning in individuals with schizophrenia. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day research activities of the projects including recruiting, screening, scheduling and collecting data from participants; data entry and management; monitoring intervention sessions; and maintenance of study documentation. Occasional availability of early morning hours is required (7:30am). Opportunities for publications are available. Doctoral students interested in collecting data for dissertations are welcomed to apply.
The Clinical Research Coordinator is an entry research position, responsible for conducting and assisting in clinical research studies, obtaining informed consent, collecting, maintaining and organizing study information. This individual assists in the preparation and submission of grant applications and documents (e.g., Institutional Review Board, Grants and Contracts Office).
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain study regulatory documentation.
- Complete data entry, data cleaning, and data fidelity procedures.
- Perform other related duties, as needed.
- Participate in regularly scheduled lab and study meetings.
- Schedule evaluations of sleep, neurocognition, biomarkers, and functioning.
- Assist in recruitment, screening, enrollment, and retention of participants.
- Communicate regularly with the study PI and study personnel to ensure timely completion of all study procedures.
- Complete timely scoring of research measures.
- Collect study-related biomarkers and transfer them to processing and banking.
Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Facility with iMacs and Microsoft Office (Advanced skill level). Familiarity with online publishing tools a plus. Familiarity with statistical software a plus.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and statistical software, as well as smartphones.
- 0-2 years of clinical or laboratory research experience.
- B.A. or B.S. in Psychology, Neuroscience or related field.
- Ability to work independently.
- High punctuality.
- Highly Preferred: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience conducting research with individuals with serious mental illness. Experience with clinical trials a plus. Experience administering diagnostic, clinical or cognitive batteries a plus.

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $34,999.88 - $72,099.95 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
