Job Description
Position Summary


We are looking for an Intern - Communication Specialist to join and support our multi-channel digital marketing communications for the organization to ensure all digital marketing and media efforts are cohesive and consistent, in-line with the Monster Energy brand and deliver the desired performance. This role will be tasked to assist with the assistance of digital marketing content and content planning calendars, working in tandem with our editorial staff, learning and assisting in the company’s CMS for consumer-facing websites, and provide the opportunity to work with multiple teams and departments cross-functionally with the company to deliver on business, brand, and marketing goals. On any given day, you will have the chance to collaborate with Brand Management, Creative Services, Commercial Strategy, Social Media, UI-UX, Media and Analytics teams.


Essential Job Functions


  • Experience the start to end project cycle, contributing content and communication strategies. Maximize use of project management system for consistent project communication, vendor assignments and timeline milestones. Collaborate with digital marketing team, evaluating web content, providing revised or new content and ensuring relevant information is not only on the website, but organized and presented with the user in mind.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams, providing new content and communication recommendations as well as maintaining collegial, collaborative relationships.
  • Opportunity to interview Monster Energy talent for company websites and social, as well as work with our External PR team. Ability to think quickly and develop content for the Monster Energy consumer.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Opportunity to learn the Monster Energy voice, actively assure content reflect professional editorial practices, and meet standards set by cross-functional stakeholders. Work closely with communications colleagues to meet strategic objectives, project goals and deadlines and helps maintain the digital asset library.


Position Requirements


  • Ability to work well and communicate within a team as well as externally.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) for social media, digital media and websites is preferred.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flex easily should project or priorities shift, and demonstrate excellent organizational skills including working under deadline pressure.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of standard English usage along with the conventions of advertising, marketing, editorial and digital writing, and content development.
  • Ability to think creatively, critically, in order to clearly present ideas.
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing Communications, or related field.
  • Experience in marketing communication including copywriting, project management, legal compliance, and production expertise.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines consistently without sacrificing quality is a must.
