The Packaging Validation Specialist will ensure compliance with international packaging regulations and validate packaging materials. This role is critical to maintaining Benefit’s reputation as pertains to packaging and packaging regulations compliance in the beauty industry. It is expected that his role executes validation and registration of Benefit product packaging, to include calculating packaging material quantities, gathering packaging material documentation, coordinating testing, and maintaining files, to ensure all Benefit finished products comply with global regulation and safety requirements.

What You’ll Do:

• Screen packaging documentation for completeness and accuracy; ensure information received meets requirements for validation, alerting packaging engineer if there is an issue
• Ensure all packaging suppliers receive the most recent Benefit and LVMH packaging material restriction lists; understand restrictions and educate packaging engineers on maintaining compliance with these restrictions.
• Complete country specific packaging material reporting to authorities as required to ensure company compliance to applicable packaging regulatory/environmental legislations globally.
• Create and maintain Benefit’s packaging material restriction list; alert packaging engineers if a package under development does not meet restrictions
• Maintain notes for package validation progress in Validation OneNote and ensure Validation Status report is updated for Benefit & LVMH project status visibility
• Maintain packaging material database and perform country specific import quantity calculations as needed for global reporting.
• Monitor status of existing and new regulations/legislations, to provide regulatory guidance and communicate regulatory progress to cross functional teams

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel)
• Knowledge of cosmetic packaging materials & development
• 1- 3 years of Experience in Packaging Development
• Knowledge of package safety tests

Schedule:

• Flex - requires onsite presence one week per month, and as needed by the business.

The target salary range for this position is $29.80/hr - $45.00/hr. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus.
