Job Description

This job code is utilized for the majority of our temporary hires. The individual is performing hourly job duties as defined under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Responsibilities
Join a specialized, award-winning team of seasoned federal marketing, strategic communications, and public engagement professionals focused on promoting the success of our federal clients, advancing our executive policy initiatives such as combatting suicide and opioid abuse, and deepening and expanding trusted relationships with the Veteran and military family communities. Reporting to the Chief of Staff for the Oracle Health Government Services (OHGS) Strategic Engagement and Communications team, you will have the opportunity to support a broad set of communications and public engagement projects, support and present to senior Oracle Health executives, and participate in our historic modernization programs for the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.
Your day to day will include, but not limited to: project management; logistical support for stakeholder, client and internal facing events; strategic messaging development; communications product design and development; develop and submit team wide impact and project reports; and prepare senior executives for speaking engagements. In addition, you will support financial and KPI planning and reporting.
The public health landscape in the U.S. is rapidly evolving and OHGS is leading the federal marketplace for health IT modernization.
Required Skills and Experience:
US Veteran transitioning from active service or Military Spouse new to corporate experience preferred
BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area or related field preferred. In addition, we seek:
  • Ability to show experience in above required essential functions is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Industry certifications are desirable, but not required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Strong copy-editing skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute (PMI) certification
  • Experience in website design
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient with Wrike and other project management systems
  • Experience in supporting communications projects within or on behalf of the federal government
Expectations:
  • Willing to travel up to 25% as needed
  • Must currently reside in to the District of Columbia area
