We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team and cover the Gainesville / Jacksonville, Florida area. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing sales of veterinary supplies to veterinary clinics, universities, and research facilities in the area. This is a remote position that requires travel and offers an exciting opportunity to expand your sales experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, and promote our veterinary products and services.
Conduct sales calls and meetings to increase product sales and market information to clinics, universities, and research facilities.
Work with Inside Sales Representatives to maximize sales and assist in the growth of businesses through education and marketing opportunities.
Plan sales calls in advance, including organizing detail bags, distributing literature packets, analyzing sales calls for each clinic, and staying current with industry trends and new products.
Attend educational meetings and vendor-sponsored veterinary conferences, industry trade shows, and regional and national Midwest Veterinary Supply meetings.
Requirements
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, while a four-year college degree is preferred.
A minimum of two years' experience in the veterinary industry is required, with sales experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate diplomacy and professional sales techniques.
Strong organizational and computer skills, with the ability to work accurately with highly detailed information.
Ability to work independently and self-motivated.
Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to work from a vehicle throughout the day.
Ability to travel for vendor training and National Sales meetings.
