Outside Builder Sales Representative
Evergreen & Maker LLC, a cabinet, flooring, and hardware supplier based in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outside Builder Sales Representative to join our fast-growing team. With a focus on delivering high-quality products to both consumers and professional builders, Evergreen & Maker aims to enhance the quality of lifestyles and homes. As an Outside Builder Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing sales opportunities primarily within the local builder community. By engaging with potential customers, visiting job sites, and providing exceptional product knowledge, you will play a pivotal role in driving business development activities, targeting regional production home builders, custom home builders, and direct homeowners.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal team members, clients, suppliers, and trades, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of each builder's needs, collect relevant information, and prepare clear and complete bids and proposals.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- Identify target customers and establish strong relationships with local builders through proactive sales efforts.
- Maintain regular contact with customers through visits and calls, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and problem-solving ability, effectively turning challenges into opportunities.
- Make phone calls, visit job sites, and engage with customers to understand their project requirements and provide tailored product solutions.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret house plans, selections, and specifications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of delivering exceptional outcomes.
- Ability to learn new technologies and products quickly.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the residential construction industry and with direct sales to production builders.
- Knowledge of residential construction practices and familiarity with relevant products is preferred.
- Ethical, honest, and accountable, with a commitment to delivering results.
- Strong phone and email communication skills, coupled with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships.
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Customer-focused approach, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong leadership abilities.
Job Type: Full-time Exempt Position

Compensation:
- Based on qualifications and experience, with an annualized range of $75k to $120k+ including commission on sales
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, typical daytime hours (8am-5pm), with occasional weekend work required.
- 40+ hours per week.
Experience:
- 3 years of sales experience preferred.
Work Location: In person
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Charlotte, NC: Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
