Job Description
Overview:
KGPCo Services is an industry leading provider of Network Services solutions in North America. Our customers include telecom service providers, MSO’s, cloud service providers, and utilities. With nearly 50 years of experience, we have the ability to customize solutions to meet our customer’s unique needs.
Responsibilities:
The OSP Fielding Data Collector will be responsible for gathering/collecting needed data to validate High Level Design in the field during the survey. The Fielding Engineer Data Collector will be responsible for gathering this information with either customer provided software or in-house tooling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned:
  • Reporting progress, complications, and concerns with Construction Manager
  • Gathering pole classes
  • Identifying and communicating any issues while collecting data
  • Drafting and submitting reports to superiors and other key individuals
  • Utilization of Fiberglass Height Stick
  • Inspecting equipment and technologies
  • Perform construction inspections for quality control
  • Collecting data (Utilization of Field apps)
  • Measuring distances between poles with measuring wheel
  • Collecting required field photos
  • Performs other duties as requested by Manager
  • Gathering communication and power span heights
  • Opening and closing manholes/hand holes/flowerpots, etc. to capture needed data
  • Riding/Walking High Level Design and collecting needed data

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • OSP Telecommunications preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrate proficient use of assigned fielding tools (Ex: Height Stick, Pull Finder, Handhole/Manhole Hook, etc.)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year of Field Engineering/Data Collection/construction experience is a plus
  • Demonstrate an understanding of CAD/3GIS/ARAMIS design platforms is a plus
  • Strong critical thinking and effective project management skills; organized with excellent time management capability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs/software
