What you will do

The Organizational Assessment and Talent Development Manager will use his or her expertise in leadership development, client consulting, and organizational assessment design to design customized organizational maturity solutions for large government agency workforces as well as provide executive coaching to agency leadership. You will conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses and provide human capital improvement recommendations to government leaders. You will also be asked to serve as an executive coach and a thought leader, leading the development of proprietary organizational maturity assessment offerings and intellectual capital for talent transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Organizational Coaching Plan: Develop coaching plans for senior leaders based on organizational assessment results, addressing all government requirements and complementing team coaching sessions.
  • Facilitation: Provide facilitation services to help groups work together effectively, including but not limited to guided problem-solving, decision-making, and brainstorming exercises. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning and organizing meetings or events, creating agencies, and leading activities or exercises, as well as providing feedback and support.
  • Individual Coaching: Provide online individualized executive coaching twice a month for all senior leaders.
  • Proprietary Organizational Assessment Design: Lead efforts to design, validate, and deploy customized organizational maturity solutions for government clients
  • Team Coaching: Conduct periodic group meetings for senior leaders focused on specific topics identified in the organizational assessment and executive coaching plans, including periodic breakout sessions as issues arise.
  • Organizational Assessment: Review organizational mission, goals, staffing needs, conduct interviews with senior leaders, and perform additional qualitative and quantitative analysis to understand organizational goals and challenges and provide human capital recommendations
  • Human Capital Development Solution Design and Implementation: Lead efforts to design, validate, and deploy customized human capital development strategies based on organizational assessment results

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering high-quality, customized talent solutions through assessments and feedback, employee surveys and interviews, competency modeling, or cultural analysis, including scale development and validation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • 5+ years of executive coaching experience, including demonstrated experience as an SES in a federal agency; a senior executive in a private company that has contracted with the government; and coaching experience in support of both federal agencies and private sector firms
  • 10+ years working in a professional environment
  • Ability to drive talent solutions for diverse workforce segments across highly complex, matrixed governmental organizations
  • 1+ year of experience supporting large, dispersed client organizations in the federal or private sector
  • Ability to meet eligibility requirements of a U.S. government client
  • 1+ year of experience writing reports, briefing materials, and organizational strategies and plans
  • An active license and/or certification from a professional coaching society or academic institution
  • 2+ years of experience conducting organizational assessments or trend analysis, as well as human capital improvement recommendations

Preferred

  • 1+ year of experience managing a team
  • Change Management, Design Thinking, or PMP certification
  • Master’s degree in organizational psychology or other related field
  • 1+ year of experience using advanced statistical methods and tools including SPSS or R, to identify drivers of key business metrics, including selection, satisfaction, performance, or turnover

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available, but could also be performed remotely. Work may be performed at the MSLLC offices or remote. Occasional travel may be required. Work is mostly sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Must have good vision and be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English. Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
