Or Clinical Assistant - Ft Operating Room

Full time 12 Hour Day Shift

• Maintains the supply areas so that all products are available to OR personnel.
• Delivers surgical and laboratory specimens to appropriate areas and transports blood products as required to and from blood bank.
• Assists with prepping patients and many times deals with blood/feces/urine/body parts.
• Helps with prepping patients and many times deal with blood/feces/urine/body parts.
• Assists circulating nurse in moving and positioning patients on the OR table.
• Demonstrates efficiency in the safe transportation of patients to and from the operating room.
• Assists OR staff with cleaning of instruments and equipment between surgical procedures.
• Demonstrates proper handling, cleaning, and storage of equipment and supplies. Maintains a neat and orderly environment in the main OR, supply rooms, utilities room and pre and post-operative areas
• Demonstrates proper technique when cleaning operating rooms between each case.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

BLS through AHA required.

Previous OR, ES or Transportation experience
