Position Information


SEARCH has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Operations Specialist to join our Operations and Logistics team. This position is based out of Orlando, FL or possibly Jacksonville, FL depending on candidate location. This role will collaborate with our field teams to successfully deploy our crews, vehicles, and equipment out to projects around the world.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Make updates to the fleet macro schedules.
  • Ensure drivers meet MVR approval.
  • Maintain, monitor, and expand SEARCH equipment storage locations.
  • Assist the Operations Manager and Logistics team as needed to ensure proper equipment, scheduling, and other needs are met.
  • Point of contact for breakdown and accident management
  • Other duties, as assigned
  • Maintain communication with active crews regarding equipment status
  • Oversee the scheduling and maintenance of SEARCH fleet and rental vehicles.
  • Conduct vehicle safety assessments and coordinate maintenance.
  • Support and promote compliance with regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Ensure registration and title upkeep.
  • Prepare invoices.
  • Maintaining and coordinating regular inventory of storage, offices, and vehicles.
  • Set-up, maintenance, coordination, and distribution of GPS and GNSS units.
  • Coordinate with H&S and HR on incidents
  • Ensure proper distribution of PPE for staff.
  • Work with Enterprise Fleet management and other external parties for maintaining, purchasing, and offboarding vehicles.
  • Provide high-quality, timely support to internal staff and external clients.
  • Participate in fleet and equipment specifications and procurement.
  • Planning, providing, and tracking equipment loadouts for active projects


Requirements


Qualifications Required:


  • Practical knowledge of ESRI mobile applications
  • 2-4 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Fleet Management, WEX fuel management, and GeoTab.
  • Familiarity with GPS and GNSS equipment.
  • Bachelors in Logistics Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field; additional applicable experience in lieu of degree is acceptable


Qualifications Preferred:


  • Experience with Field Maps and Survey123
  • Understanding of the Cultural Resource Management (CRM) industry (firms, clients, contracts, new research, and projects) at the regionwide, nationwide, and worldwide level
  • Experience with EOS Arrow, Garmin, and Trimble units
