The Opportunity
- Assist in preparation of, and operation in, annual budget Assist with purchasing. Complete, log and track purchase orders.
- Utilize Wrike system to assign tasks and follow up with each.
- Assist with the maintenance of equipment.
- Survey equipment before and after events for damage or disrepair and report, as necessary.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for Changeover crews.
- Provide leadership to staff to support various events held at the FedExForum.
- Fully understand Facilities layout to maximize usage (i.e., storage, cleaning methods, etc.).
- Assist other depts. as required to promote teamwork and to comply with work schedules.
- Schedule and supervise the conversions.
- Provide labor recaps for scheduled work. Distribute changeover supplies, uniforms, and equipment.
- Log, order, and maintain inventory of changeover supplies, tools, and equipment via sign-in/sign-out sheet.
- Install stage drapes and theatrical drapes as required.
- Maintain operating equipment and machinery as required.
- Perform all basketball conversions and setups.
- Install telescopic seating units and SRS seating units.
- Coordinate daily schedules with event staff concerning the future event.
- Comply with all OSHA and safety codes as well as applicable building codes as required.
- Operate truss control boxes and related equipment for rigging.
- Layout chairs and equipment as needed for various events.
- Ensure hoops are at correct height and rim and backboard level and plumbed per NBA standards and regulations.
- Conversion in the practice court area for banquets and other events.
- Prepare disciplinary procedures when necessary, verbal, written, and final. Track Violations in the attendance policy.
- Assist Operations Supervisor and Manager in hiring and training of part-time staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Supervise and work with Changeover staff to set-up and break down events (i.e., stage, risers, basketball floor, hockey system, chairs and tables, lobby area, dressing rooms, Club rooms, etc.).
- Map out floor configurations for seating.
- Coordinate the set-up of all changeovers according to clients specifications.
- Maintain storage areas neatly and cleanly.
- Ability to make judgment calls as required to facilitate conversions and setups.
- At least three (3) years of relevant conversions experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks constantly.
- Dynamic, hard-working, confident.
- Ability to read and interpret event work orders and CAD drawings
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Highly organized with good coordinating and project management skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and work effectively in a highly demanding pressure environment.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to read, write and interpret information.
- Must possess visual activity, i.e.: close, distance, and color vision, depth of perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to travel throught the facility, as required.
- Ability to use hands to manipluate, handle and feel.
- Must be able to lift atleast 50 pounds at a time.
