Job Description
The Operations and Training Manager will provide oversite of daily operations at the ground level. Additionally, the Operations and Training Manager is tasked with providing detailed training and measuring compliance on a variety of tasks performed on the job site. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, recognizing indicators of chemical, biological, radiological, and explosive hazards; developing and implementing a comprehensive proficiency training program and overseeing staff compliance; mitigating and reacting to hazardous material contamination in a negatively pressurized environment; wearing and maintenance of personnel protective equipment, to include powered air- purifying respirator systems (PAPRS); developing and performing personnel decontamination procedures; developing and updating technical SOPs.
Minimum Requirements: Currently possess an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification, completion of a state or national HAZMAT awareness and/or operations course; proficient with MS Office suite; strong technical writing skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills. A minimum three (3) years' experience working as an operations manager in a CBRNE screening operation of this magnitude; recognizing indicators of chemical, biological, radiological, and explosive hazards; developing and implementing a comprehensive proficiency training program and overseeing staff compliance; mitigating and reacting to hazardous material contamination in a negatively pressurized environment; wearing and maintenance of personnel protective equipment, to include powered air- purifying respirator systems (PAPRS); developing and performing personnel decontamination procedures; developing and updating technical SOPs; customer relations.
