Job Description

Description

The Online Banking Specialist is responsible for performing operational support duties of the Online Banking Department which includes Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Mobile Deposit, Bill Pay & eStatement services. Provides a full range of professional, technical and general support to customers and Bank personnel; resolves problems within given authority. Provides training to Customers and Bank personnel on the features and benefits of Online Banking products and services. Performs a variety of routine daily tasks; reviews reports, prepares correspondence; participates in special department projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Online Banking in planning, testing, and execution of services and new products.
  • Assists with analysis of processes and makes recommendations to management for streamlining functions, improving efficiency and enhancing the accuracy and quality of work.
  • This position is responsible for independently performing a variety of complex digital banking back-office support and file processing functions related to online banking product offerings, including reviewing and processing transactions for External Transfer, Zelle, Mobile Deposit, Bill Pay, and eStatements.
  • Coordinates all aspects of customer preparedness for product usage; accurately performs customer setups on the appropriate system; coordinates implementation efforts with other departments and vendors; makes changes to existing customer setups; prepares contracts and necessary documentation for customer signature; originates and maintains customer files; enters customer information into various computer programs; follows up on missing information of documentation; conducts daily callback of maintenance reports.
  • Performs daily reviews, monitoring and analysis of various reports, logs and transactions data to verify transactions, track trends, determine usage, and detect and report unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Position requires ability to concentrate on work to maintain a high level of efficiency even when interruptions occur.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining training on online banking products and act as a resource for bank personnel.
  • Provides a full range of professional, technical and general support to customers and Bank personnel; assists customers with related application requirements such as file formats and overall product usage; handles routine inquiries and answers questions; provides step by step technical instruction and support via telephone and e-mail; responds to customer inquiries or complaints and forwards messages as appropriate; trouble shoots and resolves problems within given authority.

About You:

  • Possesses above average understanding of internet browsers and ability to troubleshoot computer and mobile related issues.
  • Ability to take ownership of client needs and provide courteous and effective customer service to bank employees and customers.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Online Banking or Treasury Management services.
  • Associates Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and priorities quickly while testing and reporting issues for software releases and conversion of data.
