The Oncology Revenue Cycle Consultant will have an in-depth knowledge of revenue cycle services such as authorizations, coding, billing, collecting and follow up functions of radiation and medical oncology. Responsible for oversight of revenue cycle consulting projects such that results provide timely and accurate recommendations consistent with the management decisions under consideration. Including regulatory compliance with CMS or other coding guidelines.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master's Degree required
- Oncology consulting experience AND/OR Clinical and RCM experience
- 10 years oncology experience
Duties and Responsibilities
Consultant shall serve as a revenue cycle expert and perform such duties as are customarily associated with such position. Duties shall include, but not be limited to:
- Preparing a comprehensive executive summary and report that will be delivered and reviewed with the Company’s client. The report shall detail the consultant’s findings. In addition, the report will highlight recommendations for improvements in procedures and documentation with the goal of increasing clients’ compliance and optimization of charges and ensuring revenue for legitimate services provided by the Company’s client.
- Providing education and awareness of the latest developments of coding and documentation guidelines and regulations for Company’s clients for both medical and radiation oncology
- Developing and oversee information request list to Company client for the purpose of collecting the necessary medical records and charge capture information to support the consulting project
- Conducting documentation, charge capture and revenue cycle audit of Company’s client, which may be a hospital or freestanding center; professional, technical or global billing
- Functioning as the primary point of contact to Company client that has signed an Engagement with Company. This includes prompt scheduling of the engagement within the timeframes outlined in the executed engagement agreement. Such timeframe is generally agreed to be no more than eight weeks from signed Engagement to project completion.
- Conducting interviews with Company client’s staff as part of the consulting engagement and examination of documentation, charge capture, and revenue cycle procedures of the client if requested
- Traveling to client’s practice or department location to perform described consulting if required
- Development and/or refinement of the processes, tools and materials that are required to conduct consulting projects

- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time. Good manual dexterity with the ability to perform repetitive hand/wrist motions. Ability to manage multiple tasks as assigned and handle stressful situations.
