Revenue Cycle Analyst - Patient Access
The Revenue Cycle Analyst supports projects and ongoing processes that monitor, evaluate, and improve any and all functional elements of revenue cycle operations. Those elements may include but are not necessarily limited to Patient Access procedures such as scheduling, financial clearance, point of service (POS) collections, registration, and other intake and discharge procedures. Position activities are primarily rooted in basic research-oriented behaviors including sampled review and data collection, basic measurement such as aggregation and summarization of data and general statistics, and documentation practices. Collects qualitative data through external research and internal interviews and observations. Designs and performs basic quantitative analyses. Prepares and maintains reports. Documents and distributes decisions and next steps from meetings. Communicates findings and implications of analyses. The ideal candidate will provide ongoing updates and training to registration staff regarding changes to revenue cycle processes and regulations. They will collaborate with management on identifying trends in registration related denials and CFB/Claim edit billing errors.
This is a full-time position located at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Required Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Professional communication skills – verbal and written
Preferred Criteria
- Basic proficiency with hospital registration and billing system
- 1-3 years related experience
- Knowledge of Revenue Cycle processes and concepts
