Posting Summary
Provide administrative assistance for the department of the Office of Clinical Trials Research (OCTR). Interact with administrative and clinical departments with the University of Vermont (UVM) and the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC). Facilitate communication with faculty, staff, community and pharmaceutical company representatives sponsoring clinical trials and related research work. Provide administrative support of OCTR Leadership, clinical, financial, legal and regulatory contract staff in the department. Generate external and internal correspondence and provide administrative program support for the Office of Clinical Trials staff and the Assistant Dean for Clinical Research.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate’s degree, three years related experience and proficiency with software applications used to support office functions and proficiency Internet resources required. Effective time management, organization and communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment required.

Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge of academic research and medical terminology highly desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook applications highly desirable.
