Job Summary: The Product team is responsible for the entire product life cycle from concept development to commercial launch. The New Product Development Project Manager is an integral member of the Product team that will work closely with the Director of New Product Development, NA as one of the faces of TopGum to their customers. This person will help them to bring innovative products to market by ensuring timelines and deliverables are successfully achieved. Reporting to the Director of New Product Development, NA, the New Product Development Project Manager will collaborate with various teams at TopGum, including Sales, R&D, Procurement, Operations, and other members of the Product Team.
Responsibilities
- Log projects in an internal project management system with accuracy and monitor progress throughout the workflow, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities.
- Understand and communicate task schedules to all project team members to ensure timely completion of project.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Work directly with customers to relay project relevant information and respond to internal and external requests for documentation.
- Foresee problems on project timelines before they become problems. Communicate changes in timelines in a timely manner to stakeholders and work to resolve issues to get initiatives back on track.
- Collaborate with different departments within the business to plan and meet customer product development objectives, including Sales, R&D, Procurement, Operations, and other members of the Product team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or science disciplines.
- Effective at managing competing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Outstanding soft interpersonal, collaboration, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills and experience influencing a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a remote setting while adapting to different cultures.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Comfortable to work within a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
- Personable, reliable, highly organized, and conscientious.
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience.
