Job Description
National Account Manager – Remote – US
The National Account Manager achieves sales objectives through growth and penetration of existing national accounts and new business development. This position services customers and generates sales to targeted top 200 chain accounts. Scope includes account management, new business development and sales administration.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Business Development
  • Uses culinary, customer marketing and innovation team resources to identify new product sale opportunities
  • Identifies and develops profitable new volume
  • Actively seeks new customers and product opportunities
  • Improves business with existing customers
  • Builds strong customer relationships with chain account decision makers
Sales Administration
  • Provides strategic input reflecting marketplace and customer requirements into the annual planning process
  • Keeps team members and stakeholders informed on customer activity and new product placements
  • Fosters a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission outlined by the leadership of the company
  • Manages administrative responsibilities including information requests, competitive intelligence, results tracking, expense reporting, calendars, deduction management and CRM input

Technical Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of advanced selling experience in the food service industry
  • Strong culinary and menu concept skills
  • Proven track record of sales success
  • Possessing a “hunter” sales mentality
  • Ability to develop & implement business plans
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Skilled in time management and able to effectively prioritize workload
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience
