Multi-Skilled Operator I - Contract

ConocoPhillips is a leading oil and gas company, based in Kenedy, TX, and is hiring a Multi Skilled Operator for contract positions. The MSO is responsible for Loading and unloading condensate and natural gas liquids (NGL) trucks, running condensate samples.

Eagle Ford Overview

The liquids-rich Eagle Ford tight oil trend, located in the Western Gulf Coast Basin of South Texas, represents the company’s second-most prolific unconventional resource development. ConocoPhillips was one of the first companies into the liquids play, resulting in a low-cost entry into this acreage. In 2009, the company began exploring the development potential of this play and by year-end 2022 held approximately 199,000 net leasehold and mineral acres, primarily in DeWitt, Karnes, and Live Oak counties.

During 2022, 153 operated wells were brought online, bringing total wells online at year-end to more than 1,700. Net production in 2022 averaged 220 MBOED.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for trouble-shooting operations problems, housekeeping and record keeping.
• Monitoring and optimizing stabilizer runtime and costs within area of control.
• Will occasionally require overtime during facility turnarounds, facility upsets, start-ups or as workload demands require it.
• Gauging tanks for sale or transfer of crude oil and water.
• Inspecting tanks and attached piping components for leaks or unusual conditions and taking corrective action.
• Operation of oil stabilizer trains, vapor recovery unit, fuel fired boilers, condensate unloading pumps, condensate transfer pumps and LACT units for delivery.
• Loading and unloading condensate and natural gas liquids (NGL) trucks, running condensate samples (Reid vapor pressure).
• Ensure completion of Operations monthly PMs. •Ensure progression of MSOs competency training package.
• Work hours for this position are a twelve-hour,7 days on / 7 days off rotating shift between nights and days.
• Maintaining chemical injection rates.
• Check rotating equipment maintain normal operating levels, pressures, and flow on separation equipment, adjusting automatic and manual controls.

Required and Preferred Skills and Experience

• Minimum+1or education equivalent years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Basic knowledge about all types of plant processes, equipment, and systems.
• Awareness of Permit to Work, Operational Standard Operating Procedures and Lock Out / Tag Out systems.
• Ability to prepare accurate and legible reports, handover notes, and end-of-swing handovers. Awareness of any Plant or PSM Facility experience.
