Job Description
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and/or education, and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.


Summary

Efficiently and accurately conduct quality assurance of pre-fund loan files to ensure procedures in originating mortgage loans are being met according to CHL policies, procedures, and workflow. Oversight pipeline workflow to make sure loan files are moving through origination through closing in a timely manner to meet expected close dates.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Comply with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.

  • Oversight of setup for original loan submission. Assists in loan setup when necessary.

  • Assist mortgage loan processors in review of loan applications, condition items needed, and pipeline workflow. Oversee the verification and documentation process and ensure that applications have been reviewed and are accurate. Oversee loan files for completeness and accuracy prior to underwriting and pre-fund.

  • Assist in responding to Post-Close loan audit requests.

  • Assist CHL Underwriting when necessary to prepare for pre-underwrite and review conditions as requested by VP Mortgage Credit Administrator.

  • Assist Head of CHL on all Department Reports including but not limited to spreadsheets and convert to reports, PowerPoint, Encompass Reports, update procedures, and special projects.

  • Lead liaison for declines and withdrawal process. Updates system appropriately and works with Compliance on AAL notice content and approval.

  • Lead liaison in representing CHL with Vendor Management. Prepares CHL review, responses, and certifications annually and when necessary on each CHL vendor.

  • Lead liaison with A/P on Vendor invoices and payments, reviews for accuracy.

  • Single point person for CHL with other departments.

  • Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of CHL.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in mortgage loan pipeline workflow or quality control or underwriting, or post-close audits or senior processor. A working knowledge of mortgage loan origination, processing, closing, funding, post close audits. A plus in knowledge in Encompass system and reporting, milestone workflow, tracking, personas, and compliance.


Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Mathematical Skills

The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, points, discounts, proportions, percentages, underwriting ratios. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements, income tax returns, financial reports, and legal documents. The ability to effectively use spreadsheets and report generating from spreadsheets. Professionally present information to management, customer, and bank associates.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Ellie Mae/Encompass loan operating system, Word, Excel and all Outlook software in addition to having proficient computer skills.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current driver's license.

Salary Range:
$23.9300 To 32.3100 Hourly



40 hours per week.
