Job Description

Quality Coordinator provides key support for the Quality Department including supporting idX company Fundamentals, following Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions, Process Auditing, Raw Material and Finished Goods Inspections, Material and Product Testing. Additionally, QA Technician has a key role in SCAR process, communicates efficiently with all levels of the Organization and is a key member of Continuous Improvement Team.
Primary Duties
  • Complete materials testing or other functional/ performance testing as required.
  • Participate in Problem Solving efforts through Corrective Action Process.
  • Complete inspections at incoming, machining, assembly, final inspection and at the dock using existing work instructions, drawings, samples and forms.
  • Identify and process nonconforming parts, following the nonconforming procedure.
  • Perform calibrations per work instructions to evaluate the precision and accuracy of testing/ measuring equipment.
  • Provide lead support in quality initiatives
  • Schedule and complete 1st Articles Reviews and file associated reports.
  • Participate in and follow 5S program
  • Complete process audits as scheduled.
  • Maintains Master Samples in Sample Room and Master Control Sample Log
  • Investigate internal and external issues as required
  • Understand specifications for each customer, using control samples and drawings where available.
  • Initiate, file and communicate with Purchasing all SCAR related information
  • Collect and Summarize process data including defect data.
Safety
  • Exhibits safety awareness and maintains a safe and orderly worksite.
  • Proper attire is required to provide personal protection from hazards typically found in a production environment. Supervisor may mandate specific attire which fit the work environment.
Compensation $25-$27 per hour
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with calipers, tape measures and other measuring systems
  • Microsoft Office skills preferred (Excel and Word)
  • Blueprint reading required
  • Ability to effectively communicate across a variety of job functions
  • Willingness to learn and ability to take on challenges with a positive attitude
  • Good Communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership potential is preferred
  • Basic data entry skills for computer applications.
  • Required minimum experience: 3+ years of similar commercial or industrial mill work or completion of internal training program.
