Molecular Scientific Business Specialist

We are partnered with a global supplier of critical raw materials for the IVD industry with a broad portfolio of antibodies, antigens, native proteins/enzymes and molecular regents.

Following strong organic and inorganic growth over recent years, we are looking for a Scientific Business Specialist to join their Molecular Reagents team.

This role would be perfect for a Field Application Specialist with a strong commercial acumen looking to expand their professional experience.

This is a remote position with significant travel ~40% around Northeastern USA.

Key Responsibilities

• Networking and following up with clients/customers, KOLs and the scientific community and communicating the insights to the MDx Business Unit.
• Developing new MDx business opportunities and partnerships.
• Driving and tracking MDx commercial KPIs as well as revenue forecast together with the local sales team in North America.
• Driving growth, competitiveness, and profitability of MDx products and services by meeting or exceeding revenue targets
• Coaching, providing technical support, and guiding the US sales team

MUST HAVES

• Self driven, energetic, innovative mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Strong and established network of Key Opinion Leaders within the molecular diagnostics and life science sectors.
• At least 3 years of experience in a molecular biology laboratory
• Strong knowledge and experience with several molecular diagnostic technologies e.g. qPCR, isothermal amplification, NGS, CRISPR, and other nucleic acid manipulations/preparations
• Masters or Ph.D in Molecular Biology
