We continue to explore novel concepts for longer term transformational approaches to influenza protection. We operate as one integrated global research and development organization, drawing together expert staff from different countries to collaborate with us. Together, we're working to protect communities from seasonal influenza and global pandemic threats.

As the Scientific Associate in the Biochemistry group, you will work with senior scientists to develop the recombinant protein vaccine for many infectious diseases. You will be responsible for recombinant protein production using mammalian cell culture and support the recombinant protein purification to develop the protein vaccine with high quality. You will also work with project leads to support new vaccine development.

The Role

·Support bench lab work and support the study design to facilitate the recombinant protein vaccine production

·Will take the primary responsibility for all aspects of mammalian cell culture to meet the demands of multiple projects within Biochemistry group

·Support the stable CHO cell line development

·Support the recombinant protein vaccine purification

·Perform the basic laboratory protocols, including data analysis

·Make technical, strategic contributions to development project teams

·Work collaboratively to develop experimental protocols in protein biochemistry to support process improvements

·Work with others within and across departments

·Present data in the context of the project at multi-function meetings

·Maintain functional laboratory equipment and follow HSE regulation

Your skills and experience

·2+ years with Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry other relevant area and scientific experience

·Experience with mammalian cell culture process is advantageous

·Experience with protein purification equipment, e.g., AKTA system is advantageous

·Stay updated on new, relevant technologies and published literature to support innovation with the team

·Excellent record keeping skills

·Demonstrate time and resource management and teamwork
