Midrange Administrator - Linux

As a Midrange Administrator - Linux with Frost, you will be responsible for maintaining UNIX OS environments and applications across the organization. Responsibilities will include administering Linux Operating System and applications; responding to, troubleshooting, and resolving well-understood escalated UNIX-related tickets and issues to establish return to service; escalating complex tickets and issues to the appropriate Midrange team member; collaborating with other IT teams, management, and lines of business to provide basic troubleshooting assistance for large-scale outages; implementing Linux enhancement projects under the direction of Midrange Engineers; supporting other Midrange team members; and resolving application issues. The candidate will maintain documentation and procedures for UNIX administration.

Required:

• Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, in a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred:

• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as ESXi
• Experience in Linux
• Familiarity with Agile methodology
• Experience with a scripting language
