This position collaborates and works in an established laboratory that focuses on tissue repair and stem cell response to injury. This is a component of a university-wide program that focuses on different aspects of tissue repair.


The pay range for this position is $32.64-$48.96/hourly. Compensation is determined based on relevent experience and equity.


  • Assist in setting up collaborations within the University and other institutions to assist with programmatic development of a tissue repair consortium.
  • Provide supervision to SRAs, who will be primarily responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies.
  • Assist with the management of day-to-day running of the laboratory, including budget review and personnel issues.
  • Assist in the development of experimental protocols and techniques to help answer questions related to the activation of stem cell niches and subsequent control of tissue repair.
  • Develop appropriate hypotheses and methodologies for the research undertaken.
  • Develop skills to obtain third-party funding for research initiatives (i.e. NIH).
  • Assist in hiring appropriate personnel as directed.
  • Assist with the education and supervision of surgical residents and other laboratory personnel.
  • Provide the regular maintenance and keep service contracts updates for the instruments in image and histological cores
  • Assist all users in image core and histological core, including training (both hardware and software) and trouble shooting.
  • Assist with data management and development of data for presentation and publication.
  • Assist in program development of a laboratory that will focus on tissue repair and response to injury, potentially leading to becoming part of a University-wide program focusing on stem cell response leading to tissue repair in skin, nerve and bone.
  • In collaboration with the PI, assist in designing experiments, which will answer questions at a physiological, cellular, and molecular level concerning how tissues respond to injury and determine the regulators of tissue repair.

Minimum


  • Doctorate Degree is related field
