POSITION:Medical Spa Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY: We are a busy and rapidly growing medical spa seeking a motivated and qualified Medical Spa Assistant to join our team. This position will involve supporting the licensed medical provider with a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities. This role offers the opportunity to be a key part of our practice’s growth and has the potential to evolve into an administrative or clinical position as the practice expands.

JobResponsibilities:

• Take vital signs of patients and explain the procedure process in a clear and concise manner.
• Warmly greet patients upon arrival, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Schedule patient appointments, coordinating with providers' schedules and optimizing appointment availability.
• Strictly follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Sanitize exam rooms and office spaces as needed, adhering to strict cleanliness and infection control standards.
• Answer telephone calls, emails, and texts promptly and provide accurate information regarding appointments and general inquiries.
• Adhere to the principles of medical ethics for medical assistants, maintaining professionalism and integrity at all times.
• Autoclave instruments following proper sterilization protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Secure appropriate patient forms and consents, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare exam rooms for office visits and in-office procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Regularly check and restock exam rooms with an adequate supply of medical and procedural materials.
• Capture before and after pictures of patients, maintaining their privacy and confidentiality.
• Efficiently check-in/out patients, ensuring accurate documentation of their appointments.
• Document and chart office visits, procedures, and interactions with patients. Keep medical records in accordance with established procedures, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Provide instructions to patients as directed by the providers, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared for treatments.
• File documents and charts accurately, ensuring proper organization and confidentiality.
• Provide necessary assistance to patients as required or directed by the supervising provider.
• Assist the provider with various cosmetic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

• Exhibit a professional demeanor, maintain a high level of reliability, and prioritize punctuality.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and basic computer applications.
• 2-years of experience in a clinical or medical setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of cosmetic procedures and treatments is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Education

• Medical Assisting certificate
• High School Diploma or equivalent
