Job Description

Pay
$20.49 to $23.90 / hour

Schedule
Sunday – Thursday, 1:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.; flexibility required as schedule may be adjusted based on business needs
Some Friday shifts required during summertime, with modified Friday schedule and alternate days off

Job Summary

The medical assistant will assist patients by providing clinical and business office assistance while performing a variety of routine and some non-routine functions in accordance with standard procedures in Employee Health Services. This position will perform a range of clinical and clerical tasks that help maintain organization and keep the facility running efficiently.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to assess and treat acute employee injuries
  • Demonstrates workplace behavior consistent with company policies and values
  • Communicates job information to accomplish work tasks
  • Proficiency in basic first aid
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks
  • Basic understanding of clinical tasks
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Maintains good attendance as defined by company and/or department policy including flexibility with work schedule
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Exercises personal safety on the job and demonstrates a commitment to the safety of others and our products
  • Ability to teach groups
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Troubleshooting ability
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous computer experience including Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year previous experience in medical or healthcare setting
  • Emergency Medicine Tech (Virginia)
  • Medical Assistant Certificate (Virginia)
