The Ideal Candidate

At our Honey Skincare Studio, we are dedicated to providing top-quality, time-efficient, body + face waxing services to all of our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced wax specialist to join our team.

As a wax specialist, you will be responsible for providing a range of waxing services, including bikini, Brazilian, leg, arm, and face waxing, for both men and women. You will need to have a thorough understanding of hard wax and soft wax techniques and be able to provide a comfortable and safe experience for all clients.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for waxing and who is committed to providing excellent customer service. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to communicate effectively with clients to ensure their satisfaction. Waxers must thoroughly familiarize themselves with our in-house product line and be willing to educate every client on how to properly care for their skin before & after waxing & be comfortable with the sales process

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following)

• Keep treatment room and common areas tidy, clean and organized at all times
• Prepare waxing services according to clients needs and preferences
• Keep track of proper inventory and re-stock;
• Clearly communicate with the receptionist in the clients journey & scheduling
• Process payments for goods and services
• Must be a go-getter, detailed-oriented, warm and inviting, perceptive, driven and disciplined
• Engage in a positive and professional manner with co-workers and guests, and effectively listen and properly address issues / concerns as needed
• Ability to learn our booking system; check-in and check-out procedures
• Ability to sell products and services
• Provide top-notch customer service to our clients
• Maintain expert level knowledge of company products, services, promotions and rates
• Poses a positive, proactive, patient, upbeat, and personal demeanor and attitude
• Monitor spa wax products and supplies and inform office manager if ordering is needed
• Perform waxing services in a timely manner
• Complete special projects as assigned by leadership team / management
• Keep track of smooth functioning of all spa operations and admin - and timely alert leadership team and management if action is needed;
• At least one year of experience with waxing professionally
• Perform any other duties as requested by management

Qualifications:

• Organized, clean and detailed oriented
• Minimum of 1 year experience with waxing; particularly bikinis and brazilians
• Flexible schedule, evenings and weekend availability
• Must have a current Virginia esthetician license, wax tech license, or cosmetology license
• 3-5 years of customer service experience
• Strong computer / software skills
• Social media and marketing experience is a plus
