- Contacts provider on delinquent medical reports and resolve.
- Informs appropriate departments regarding provider servicing concerns.
- Verifies the accuracy of reports and posts to appropriate patient files on a daily basis.
- Answers telephones as needed and respond to customer inquiries and document actions taken.
- Distributes incoming faxes processed through fax server.
- Performs general duties as assigned.
- If working with federal government contract clients, an employee is required to receive federal government clearance for handling sensitive information. Employee is also required to receive annual security awareness training.
- Must have the ability to work after hours and weekends if necessary.
- Must have strong telephone skills and ability to communicate with others in a professional environment.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must have strong organizational skills to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Must be able to work any shift that may be required to provide adequate telephone coverage.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short, simple correspondence, and memos.
- Must be computer literate and be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
