Medical Reception/Registration Representative

The hourly wage offered for this position is $17.51 - $24.17.:
Rebound is the largest orthopedic and neurosurgical practice in the Portland-Vancouver area with an array of sub-specialties including orthopedics, brain and spine care, sports medicine, physiatry, and physical therapy. We are looking for a full time Registration Representative at our Rose Quarter location. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and decision making skills; Ability to work with a great deal of accuracy and attention to detail; Organizational and office skills, including data entry; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public. Strong attendance history and the ability to work independently is a must.

• Assisting and greeting patients and visitors of Rebound in a friendly and timely manner.
• Facilitates information collection as needed through verbal or the use of forms
• Confirms insurance and demographic information
• Project work as needed to fill downtime
• Check in patients
• Taking co-pays.
• Performs other duties that may be required.
• Explain financial policies, privacy practices and the differences with contracted vs. non-contracted insurance companies.

• Knowledge of healthcare insurances, payers, benefits and contracts preferred
• One to two years' customer service experience, medical experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Medical terminology desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with patients and co-workers.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
