Medical Assistant Educator Jobs

Squirrel Hill Health Center (SHHC), a dynamic and growing Federally Qualified Health Center in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a full time Medical Assistant Educator.

The Medical Assistant Educator provides best practice education and evaluation to health center employees, patient care support staff, and medical assistants. Facilitates evidenced-based training within the community health centers comprehensive primary care environment. Collaborates with medical practitioners to incorporate standardized processes into the plan of care for a general patient care delivery and that of specific populations of patients. Performs direct specialty education and services to employees and patients as required, ensuring adherence to HRSA Health Center Program regulatory requirement and compliance standards, and all related policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Leadership or instructor experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Certification/Licensure: Medical Assistant Certification, Licensed Practical Nurse and/or at least 5 years of experience being a direct care Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting.
• Ability to travel to all sites within the organization
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• CPR certified
• COVID and FLU vaccines, including boosters, required
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
