Job Description
Squirrel Hill Health Center (SHHC), a dynamic and growing Federally Qualified Health Center in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a full time Medical Assistant to work in both its Squirrel Hill and Brentwood offices. The Medical Assistant will provide direct services to patients in our Primary Care Center.


The Medical Assistant will act as a liaison among patients, clinicians and staff by phone or in person. The Medical Assistant will have excellent interpersonal skills (both in person and on the phone) and will effectively follow logical and timely approaches to solving problems and making decisions regarding managed care, including vitals, phlebotomy, specimen processing, testing, scheduling and other tasks.


Qualifications


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical setting
  • Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school
  • Experience with electronic health records required
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift including evenings (either Tuesday or Thursday) and week ends (either Saturday or Sunday)
  • CPR certified.
