At Main Line Center for Laser Surgery in Ardmore, PA, our mission is to put YOU first by delivering state-of-the-art laser and energy-based device treatments, and injectable and topical skincare in the most professional, friendly, and safe environment, while also advancing these technologies.


Position Overview


  • Manage patient expectations and ensure they have a positive experience with the practice.
  • Assists provider during procedures
  • Review upcoming appointments, contact patients for additional information where appropriate.
  • Provide accurate quotes for treatments and explain financing and package options to patients.
  • Creates treatment/consultation EMN’s for each appointment and escorts patients to treatment rooms
  • Stocking all treatment rooms with required supplies & prepping laser and injectables for the day
  • Checks all messages sent to clinical staff for pharmacy refills, prior authorizations, and patient questions.
  • Communicates with MA’s and physicians on status of patients throughout the day
  • Gather information on treatment progress, goals, prior treatment outcomes/issues, sun exposure, medications etc.
  • Prepares room with treatment specific supplies (laser glasses, injectables etc)
  • Documents patient response, treatment details and recommendations into EMR
  • Prepares patients for treatment (numbing, blood draw, photos, consents etc)
  • Answer any questions patients may have, and provide guidance throughout the process
  • Reach out to patients who have not booked treatment to answer any questions or concerns, and work to get patients booked.


Requirements


  • Experience in a medical office as a medical assistant or support staff, preferably in dermatology or cosmetic surgery
  • Medical terminology knowledge & EMR experience
  • Must have the ability to understand the goals of the practice and work to create a plan of action to obtain the goals independently.
  • Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Professional experience and attitude with the ability to relate well with patients, physicians, employees, and other professionals.
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent required
  • Able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Dedicated to vision and practice goals.
  • Strong business acumen and superior organizational skills
  • Open availability (Monday - Saturday 40hr/week. Evenings and weekends required)
  • Must have the ability to handle confidentiality issues.
  • Scribing experience preferred
  • Experience in using tablets and paperless medical record systems
