Medical Advisor (Remote Role)

Role: Medical Advisor

Location: Lake Forest, IL - 60045 (remote role)

Duration: 3 Months on W2

Shift Timings: 8am to 5pm

• Advocate for legislative wins at federal and state levels.
• Report to Director, work with various internal stakeholders and manage external agencies.
• Collaborate with retail partners, coalitions, and associations.
• Educate on pharmacy testing at meetings, webinars, and more.
• Lead US ID Commercial pharmacy market initiative for long-term testing access post-Public Health Emergency (PHE).
• Secure regulatory and reimbursement path for decentralized pharmacy testing.

Core Responsibilities And Key Activities

• Address testing access, pharmacist education, and reimbursement.
• Engage with customers, pharmacy associations, and advocacy groups.
• Address challenges from advocates opposing change.
• Create support materials for markets with awareness issues.
• Support ID NOW pharmacy testing and overcome obstacles.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for US Pharmacy Market.
• Drive Abbott Pharmacy initiative with internal and external stakeholders.
• Use market research insights and state practices for messaging.
• Manage external agencies for advocacy, education, and communication.
• Develop campaign assets for Government Affairs, Coalitions, and more.

Experience/Education

• Strong pharmacy clinical services marketing skills.
• Familiarity with payment models in ID testing care settings.
• 10+ years in pharmacy industry, focusing on clinical services and diagnostics.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and quality systems.
• Proficient in multitasking and project management.
• Bachelor's degree required, advanced degrees preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, MBA).
