Your Impact:
We're looking for a passionate Mechanical Engineer to join our Greenville, SC team. You can live anywhere within the U.S. and work remotely as well. Join us and you'll collaborate on advanced facilities projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You'll work on projects at some of the world’s most state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive team who successfully deliver on equipment design, specification, selection, technical evaluation of vendor equipment offerings/submittals, and mechanical review of vendor equipment drawings for conformance with design criteria. You’ll review and evaluate the desired goal of the system and develop machine design concepts and drawings, and/or select the required equipment, perform calculations and evaluations of the equipment and systems for industrial and commercial applications. You’ll also participate in planning, cost development and management, scheduling for assigned projects, direct activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements. We’ll lean on you to ensure and maintain effective communication with project team members and with our clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years history in the practical application of mechanical engineering, especially related to process equipment design and functionality
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- 5 years history in practical application of mechanical engineering, especially related to process equipment design and functionality
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification
- Working knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Dynamic, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and desire for increased knowledge potential
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
- Passion for mechanical equipment design and operation
Additional qualities :
- At times, design and manage complete machine assemblies while maintaining company design procedures
- Apply engineering knowledge and experience to develop concepts and create robust, efficient solutions.
- Deliver project presentations with both internal and customer teams to ensure all requirements are satisfied
- Collaborate with customers, team members, and vendors to understand manufacturing processes and concepts such that improvements and resolutions can be developed
- Prior experience with machine assembly, install, or retrofitting such that a “hands-on” knowledge has been acquired
- Driven desire and curiosity to expand capabilities through trainings and cross-departmental opportunities
