What is the day to day like for Machine Technician in the Bar Feeder industry
You are responsible for mechanically and electronically configuring our machines to the customer's CNC lathe specifications.
You will make mechanical adjustments, disassemble components
You will make modifications of mechanical sub-assemblies
You will do some wiring on the machines high voltage and 24-volt PLC/HMI motion control systems
You will perform final installation and testing of equipment
What You Need For This Job
Above average mechanic skilled with hand and power tools with professional work ethic
A minimum of two years' experience in machine building or automotive repair
A basic understanding of electrical theory, Ohm's Law
Ability to use a multimeter and interpret the results
Understand basic schematics and use for trouble shooting wiring
Use an overhead crane and a forklift
Ability to utilize a commercial drivers license is a plus
A high school diploma or equivalent
Technical school certificate is preferred, but equivalent and demonstrated practical experience is acceptable - we train
Knowledgeable in assembly, installation, troubleshooting and repair of machine components is appreciated and valued
Work schedule
We generally work first shift Monday through Friday
