Job Description

The Master Data Analyst will work with business owners to provide analysis and recommend solutions to data challenges. This position will define key data quality metrics and indicators and facilitate the development and implementation of supporting standards. This role will focus on data quality, accuracy, and reliability based on stakeholder needs. This is a remote role with 10% travel.

How you will spend your days as the Master Data Analyst:


  • Data standardization across ERP systems.
  • Manages medium to large projects and/or cross functional, gives direction to data analysts as needed.
  • Develops automation and cycle audits to expedite data quality improvements.
  • Effectively works in a team environment with ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Identifies data issues that require recurring/ad-hoc audits & implement business process to address.
  • Execute enterprise data best practices, metadata standardization, lineage, data deduplication, mapping and
  • Meets throughput, quality and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Define key data quality metrics and indicators and facilitate the development and implementation of supporting
  • Transformation, and business validations.
  • Ensures the data in systems supports the needs of stakeholders.
  • Standards.
  • Communicates internally and with third parties to provide status updates, to resolve conflicts and to provide feedback & recommend business process changes.
  • Proposes and implements innovative solutions to increase team efficiency.
  • Understand internal and external stakeholder data needs and expectations for information.
  • Maintains and develop quality control processes for managing data.
  • Coordinates and validates out-sourced work as part of Master Data Management.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other data analysts to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
  • Work with business owners on data challenges, providing analysis and expertise in business data to recommend solutions.
  • Execute Data Standards as well as KPIs to track ongoing data quality performance.
  • Complies with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
  • Prepares product data to upload into ERP system.
  • Applies critical thinking in reviewing provided data in various formats for accuracy.

We want you to join the team if you can check these boxes:


  • Experience working with IT project managers, architects, and developers, translating business data needs into technical language, and ensuring effective QA / UAT of data solution delivery.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Project, and Outlook.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Able to effectively lead meetings and medium/large projects.
  • Inquisitive and curious nature; committed problem-solver.
  • Experience with Epicor ERP Systems is a plus.
  • Proficient in relational databases (Microsoft Access, SQL, etc.).
  • Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision or questions.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data management and/or business expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete established goals with limited guidance and work in an unstructured environment.
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders to establish or clarify data ownership, conduct validation, manage conflict, etc.
  • Strong analytical and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Exhibits proficiency with data governance/management concepts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, responsive work environment.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Intermediate facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure.
  • Collaborates effectively with peers and leaders and must be comfortable leading meetings, delegating work to analysts, and influencing strategy.
  • Initiate and execute continuous improvement processes.
  • Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to customers with a positive attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of and experience working in an MDM and/or PIM system is required.
