MoMA Design Store is currently accepting applications for a temporary Marketing Producer and Coordinator, Social Media, who will be central in coordinating and supporting social media efforts critical to building new audiences and bringing to life the rich stories behind our brand and the products we sell. The role serves as part of MoMA’s Retail Marketing team. The expected duration for this position is six months.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assists in coordinating an integrated social media communications strategy through the management of the social media calendar and key marketing objectives.
- Stays abreast of emerging trends and technologies to identify opportunities and engage new partners.
- Supports influencer marketing strategy and gifting.
- Plans and manages studio shoots to create in-studio content in partnership with Photo Stylist and Production Manager.
- Monitors and responds to inquiries on MoMA Design Store’s social media
- Handles sourcing and permissioning for UGC content, manages and tracks responses and organizes assets.
- Supports monthly reporting for social media, recommends optimizations and opportunities.
- Develops content for social media channels, with a focus on video, using existing assets and creating new content.
- Collaborates with cross-Museum partners on social media opportunities.
- Performs any other duties reasonably related to the functions described above and Retail Marketing initiatives.
- Supports all aspects of MoMA Design Store’s social media strategy, including project management, asset sourcing and development, posting and coordination with internal stakeholders, agencies, and external partners.
Requirements:
- Interest and enthusiasm for the work of MoMA and knowledge of art and non-profit cultural world.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least two years professional experience in social media and digital marketing, or equivalent.
- Proven project management and multi-tasking skills and ability to work independently, proactively, collaboratively, and effectively under pressure with a wide variety of museum staff and outside agencies.
- Experience with content creation for multiple channels.
- Experience with analytics tools for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Google Analytics, etc.) preferred.
- Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Sprout Social, Trello, or similar social media management and project management programs preferred.
- Creative thinker and problem solver who can clearly articulate ideas, frame challenges, highlight opportunities, and offer solutions.
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Premiere preferred.
Reports to: Assistant Director, Brand and Partner Marketing, Retail
Salary Range: The salary for this position is $32/hour
