The Opportunity


We are seeking a dedicated Marketing Manager, Senior to work hybrid in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Charlotte, NC; Colorado Springs, CO or Tampa, FL. Hybrid roles help employees gain the best of both worlds – collaborating in-person in the office and working from home when needed to achieve focused results.


Participates, facilitates, and leads cross-functional teams supporting the interaction between Business Partners and Marketing on sports and entertainment marketing activities. Responsible for the development and execution of integrated marketing plans for assigned sponsorship properties and programs. Develops strategy, execution and measurement plans for assigned properties and programs. Supports teammates and property leads for key sponsorship properties (e.g. Army Navy Game, military academies, esports and gaming, etc. Works closely with and provides oversight of agency partners and support team. Provides end to end management of sponsorship properties and programs as assigned.


What You'll Do


  • Applies knowledge of marketing principles to independently complete complex work assignments and problem resolution.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a resource to team members on escalated issues of an unusual nature.
  • Provides guidance in a process management role through the creation, monitoring and execution of new processes, in addition to enhancements to current processes with little or no supervision.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of the business, its products and processes.
  • Effectively follows the marketing process to coordinate and align peers, enterprise partners and senior management and / or provides leadership and guidance in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and go-to-market plans, identifying opportunities and potential solutions.
  • Guides team members in the development and delivery of their work products.
  • Applies mathematical and statistical concepts to effectively gather and interpret data, performing gap analysis on external and internal business environments and member data and / or leads the facilitation and maintenance of data in internal systems and/or campaign planning tools.
  • Evaluates technology and products for trends, strategic vision and scalability and / or leads team members to facilitate delivery of a project or campaign, effectively managing agency to ensure alignment with goals and priorities.
  • Synthesizes analyses, identifies root causes, and develops and recommends key work products.


What You Have


  • 6 or more years of relevant business support and / or general analysis experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools to include Word, Excel and Access.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant industry data sources.
  • Bachelor’s Degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.


What Sets You Apart


  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Strong understanding of military community, culture, and marketing.
  • Experience integrating brand and product messaging with sponsorship platforms and campaigns to maximize value of the opportunity and investments.
  • Experience working with Senior levels of management.
  • Experience (brand, property, agency, media) in esports activation and traditional major sport sponsorship management and marketing.
  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
  • Military marketing experience.

What We Offer


Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $78,670 - $150,330.


Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
