In our newly created role of Sr Manager, Strategy on the Sports Marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the long-term strategy for the Sports Marketing function. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the brand's presence in the sports industry and fostering meaningful relationships with athletes worldwide. This role sits in the Global Marketing function and reports to the Sr Director of Sports Marketing. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a global brand that is passionate about outdoor exploration and adventure.
- Evolve the way we make our products by improving our environmental performance and social responsibility in the supply chain.
- Empower exploration and the thrill of the unknown for as many people as possible.
- Protect the places where we live, play, and operate.
- Ensure content showcases athletes' stories and experiences while strengthening The North Face's brand narrative.
- Work closely with the legal team to ensure athlete contracts are constantly updated to consider athlete interests in particular in the space of digital evolution and to protect the brand's interests.
- Global Athlete Plans:
- Identify new opportunities and partnerships within the sports industry to expand the brand's reach and relevance.
- Lead the development and execution of cross-functional product testing strategies and plans.
- Formulate and implement the long-term Sports Marketing strategy in alignment with the overall brand vision and business objectives.
- Develop strategic plans that leverage athlete partnerships to enhance brand awareness and drive business growth.
- Refine and deliver the Expedition process and briefs.
- Work in close collaboration with the brand creative team to align content strategies that amplify the impact of sports marketing initiatives.
- Content Strategy Alignment:
- Athlete Contracts and Benefits:
- Collaborate with the athlete management team to create individualized global athlete plans.
- Strategy Development:
- Develop and negotiate athlete benefits and partnerships that align with athlete needs and our brand's values and objectives.
- Collaborate closely with product development and marketing teams to ensure athlete feedback is effectively integrated into the product innovation process and our consumer-facing narratives.
- Cross-Functional Product Testing:
- Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
- Demonstrated success in building and executing sports marketing strategies that drive brand awareness and business growth.
- Passion for outdoor sports and adventure, with an understanding of the outdoor industry landscape.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with athletes, stakeholders, and team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in sports marketing, athlete management, or related fields in the outdoor industry.
