Job Description

The Marketing & Development Assistant reports to the Director of Business Development and is responsible for all day-to-day development activities while supporting other members of the department in achieving overall department goals.

  • Estate & planned giving
  • Donor Database
  • Annual/monthly giving
  • Schedule and participate in outreach programs with community and civic groups
  • Reporting
  • Expos and fairs
  • Digital marketing
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications/Requirements


  • Ability to work harmoniously with a broad range of staff, volunteers, and the community as a representative of Navian Hawaii.
  • Demonstrates ethical conduct and judgment that is in harmony with the mission and values of Navian Hawaii
  • Knowledge of marketing-related business practices, including advertising, market research, technology, and budgeting.
  • Able to represent Navian Hawaii professionally and conduct business in an ethical and confidential manner.
  • Time management and organization skills in order to plan and execute both large and small marketing projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in seeking and accepting guidance, facilitates clear and honest communication with other team members.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated professional skill levels in written and oral communications.
  • Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with team members and upper management.


Experience/Educational Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration or other related field
  • Minimum two years' experience
