One of our leading healthcare client is seeking an experienced Marketing Automation Developer to join our dynamic Consumer Marketing Operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, testing, launching, and tracking marketing automation journeys and campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Working closely with the Loyalty & Retention Marketing team, engineering teams, and other cross-functional partners, you will translate business requirements into impactful marketing automation solutions. We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background who can understand and optimize complex multi-channel journeys and automations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Role and Responsibilities
- Personalize the user experience by creating dynamic content using Ampscript.
- Partner with the engineering and data science teams to develop and execute implementation plans, including defining data flows to and from Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to meet business requirements for marketing campaigns.
- Serve as a trusted and strategic marketing technology subject matter expert (SME) for the marketing team and cross-functional partners.
- Create data extensions and develop data pipelines for journey ingestion, segmentation, and dynamic content purposes.
- Utilize SQL queries to segment data from our data warehouse and populate data extensions for automation purposes.
- Build end-to-end journeys and automations using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, launch, and tracking.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Automation team members to ensure effective campaign architecture and streamline team processes.
- Construct informative dashboards and reports to keep stakeholders updated on campaign results.
Skill Requirements/Preferences
- Demonstrated ability to execute successful projects with minimal guidance
- Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong ability to work cross-functionally
- Being flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
- Critical thinker with creative solutions to solve challenges and meet business requirements
- Familiarity with Agile software development process a plus
- Prior involvement in QA process and understanding of end-to-end testing practices
- BS /BA or equivalent experience (master’s degree a plus)
- Strong project management skills. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Proficient with SQL, AMPScript, HTML, CSS, (SSJS a plus)
- 5+ years of technical experience with marketing campaign development, preferably in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget)
- Proficient use of Confluence and JIRA
- Experience leveraging SFMC APIs for both data integration and transactional communications
