Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities:

• Vessel’s safety inspection
• Liquid Cargo Quantity Surveying
• Vessel On and Off Hire surveys (condition & bunkers)
• FSI inspection
• Port captaincy and loading supervision
• Various other marine surveys
• Cargo Hold Cleanliness Supervision and Inspections for mineral and grain cargoes
• Draft Surveys to determine cargo quantity loaded/discharged
• Cargo Sampling
• P&I inspections

Requirements

Essential requirements:

• Must be a US citizen or demonstrate the right to live and work in the US
• Valid US Driver’s Licence
• A Masters Mariner Unlimited Licence or Marine Chief
• Valid TWIC or the ability to obtain

Required Skills:

• Bulk Carrier Experience advantageous
• Ability to perform physically demanding work activities
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office – MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
