About Houston

ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

Coordinate and implement safe, efficient, and cost-effective scheduling and vessel operations of ExxonMobil affiliate owned and chartered vessels that transport the company's cargoes domestically and/or worldwide. Plan and execute marine logistics to meet schedule requirements by working with internal and 3rd parties. Logistic Advisors require elevated skills identifying structural improvements and provide enhanced leadership/mentorship in their area of expertise.

What You Will Do

• Prepares, analyzes, and submits periodic reports with items appropriate to the business such as KPIs, opex, product costing, transfer prices, etc., if applicable
• Ensure all movements have been nominated as appropriate
• Effectively communicate with all partners (Traders, Charterers, Optimizers, Refinery Coordinators, 3rd parties, etc.) to ensure alignment and accurate execution of plans
• If applicable, arrange Import and Export documents within the required time frame as required
• Collaborate with team members to optimize plans and the use of assets while maximizing value
• May include negotiation of shipping arrangements within the established framework
• Interface with site and third-party labs to manage and troubleshoot product sampling and certification and understands PQ limits, testing methods, and sampling procedures to help expedite and prioritize testing, if applicable
• Ensure activities at third party facilities comply with ExxonMobil standards / requirements, as applicable
• Ensure adherence to credit guidelines, regulatory compliance, and transportation policies
• As needed, utilize relevant tools (advanced planning systems, transactional systems) to achieve short and medium term (0-3 months) optimal value of vessel coverage
• May manage interfaces with external parties as appropriate, e.g., Government Agencies, third party suppliers, marketers, etc.
• Provide accounting support for month end closing

About You

Skills and Qualifications

• Working level proficiency with Spanish is a plus – this position is on the Americas CPP team, so many counterparties will be in LATAM
• BS in Finance, Business Administration, Maritime Business, Engineering
• Experience in scheduling and/or maritime operations – preferably in support of CPP trading
• Strong communication skills – role will require coordinating between traders, refineries, brokers, vessels, inspectors, and counterparty’s schedulers/operators
• Experience with Vesson, Navarik, and SAP are plusses
• Willing to work non-standard hours as position requires – marine operations are 24/7 and may require troubleshooting issues as they arise
