Summary/Objective


The Quality Coordinator’s responsibility is to review work orders and to prevent inaccurate and incomplete product from being shipped from the facility.


Essential Functions

  • Document quality issues (defects, customer defects, deviations, customer complaints, service alerts, etc.) in the relevant quality management system.
  • Be prepared to work overtime hours as necessary, including Saturdays, in order to complete production schedules in a timely manner.
  • Relay customer complaints to area leaders.
  • Contribute to root-cause-analysis related to identified quality issues.
  • Engage in a positive manner with team members from all disciplines to ensure common goals are being met (production, material handling, lean manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, safety, maintenance, shipping/receiving, customer service, etc.)
  • Provide adequate care and maintenance of all equipment and resources used, including performing required calibrations and preventive maintenance where necessary.

Supervisory Responsibility


This is a supervisory role & will have direct reports.


Physical Demands


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active – 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and the Director of Quality or General Manager.


Travel


Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day.


Required Education And Experience


  • Must be able to work closely with others to solve problems and follow-through on solutions.
  • Leadership Development
  • Proficient verbal and written communication. Including public speaking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. The ability to collaborate with large teams in fast-paced, high-stress situations is required.
  • High school diploma
  • Must be able to effectively lead a team through daily activities, with unwavering adherence to the company’s core values.
  • Proficient with MSOFFICE (Excel, PP, Word), AX, Enovia, Tableau, NAV


Preferred Education And Experience


  • College degree is preferred
  • Previous quality management experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications


  • Proven quality assurance and auditing experience in a similar industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Knowledge of Z26.1, Z97.1, ECE R43, and ASTM specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills preferred.

Must be able to pass EVerify.
