Job Description

Eaton’s Power Reliability division is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to implement key initiatives to modernize and enhance our product lines. Relocation assistance is available!


The expected annual salary range for this role is $101,250 - $148,500 a year.

What you’ll do:

As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will direct activities associated with manufacturing engineering processes to achieve plant-wide improvements in support of key metrics including safety, quality, and overall equipment effectiveness. You'll manage and guide activities for the manufacturing engineering team, overseeing performance, new installations, maintenance, repairs and upgrades to equipment and plant operating systems.


In this role, you will:
  • Lead the capital expense planning and utilization strategy for the facility.
  • Assure that all new processes and equipment are reviewed for compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the leadership team during the development of business strategic planning discussions.
  • Assure that all new processes and equipment are reviewed during the planning process to ensure employee safety when implemented.
  • Manage the manufacturing engineering function to ensure the achievement of our plant’s High 5 goals, with a specific focus on safe operation, quality performance, equipment productivity, and cost out projects.
  • Provide leadership and development to the manufacturing engineering team, and 3rd party maintenance technicians, to achieve key organizational objectives.
  • Identify and implement new materials, equipment, standardized processes, technology, or procedures to enhance and improve the product lines.
  • Coordinate the annual and 5-year capital planning process with an emphasis on infrastructure and productivity improvement.


Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in managing people
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a Manufacturing or Operations Environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in Manufacturing Engineering leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, CI processes and principles.
  • Strong analytical skills, computing software skills, and systems abilities.
  • Prior hands-on experience with welding, robotics and assembly equipment.
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Business or Engineering.
