What you’ll do:


  • Utilize Visual Controls, Lean Daily Management, and Leader Standard Work to ensure manufacturing processes remain healthy and target results are achieved.
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Conduct training on manufacturing processes, quality assurance concepts and tools
  • Lead and support problem solving and kaizen activities across multiple organizations to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost KPIs.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.
  • Sponsor and lead continuous improvement projects and activities
  • Determines root cause of failure that may result in changes in design, tolerances or processing methods.
  • Partner with operations in the development and utilization of work instructions, standard work, and training program documentation.
  • Manage on time delivery and 100% accuracy of machining operations for success.
  • Manage all capital investment projects to ensure all expectations are met
  • Refines and enhances processes by applying continuous improvement and key Lean principles and techniques to the areas of production.
  • Develop BOM, Routings and Standard hours for New product designs
  • Perform Manufacturing Cost Analysis
  • Partner with the Quality organization to oversee the Quality Assurance program


Basic Requirements:


  • Leadership skills; understands how to be a servant leader with evidence of using this leadership style to lead a team to meet strategic goals
  • Minimum of 6 years manufacturing experience
  • Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, ability to use basic measuring tools, and hands-on capabilities to work on projects without supervision.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of personnel
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Must understand CNC programming and have a hands-on approach in the troubleshooting of equipment as required.
  • Excellent math skills and familiarity with personal computer and experience with CAD/CAM Systems required for creating process prints, designing tools, fixtures, and gauges.
  • Computer skills; ERP system (preferred JD Edwards E1), Microsoft Office (Good MS Excel Skills), and CAD software (AutoCAD & CREO).
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 20 years of professional work experience) –Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering


Management Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all Manufacturing Engineers, CNC Programmers, Plant and Quality Engineers.
  • Partner with the operations leaders to coach, prioritize, and drive lead time reductions via improvements to flow and productivity.
  • Coach and develop all direct and dotted line reports to improve their personal performance and help them achieve their career goals

  • Ability to perform and interpret computer and RF functions
  • Forklift experience preferred
