THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
We are looking for a collaborative team player who employs innovative thinking to develop and continuously improve programs, exhibits strong leadership and communication skills, and excels at driving efficiency. The Manager’s responsibilities include strategic planning of media strategy across key departments in partnership with our sales team, brand partners, external partners and other teams within Ulta Beauty. This role requires both strategic and tactical level work to continuously improve the experience of our guests and brand partnerships.
The Manager is responsible for strategic planning, development, and execution of brand campaigns within UB Media. The Manager will work with internal teams across marketing and merchandising, as well as external brands and partners to achieve business objectives. Ulta Beauty is looking for an enterprise thinker that exhibits persuasion skills, strong project management skills as well as knowledge of digital media platforms and retail media networks.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leads day-to-day business relationship for external marketing partners
  • Partners with sales team on annual planning and quarterly planning sessions with all relevant Brand partners
  • Leads planning & media best practices tied to key brand partners
  • Partners with sales team on relationship and strategic connection to key parent company stakeholders to secure incremental funding and engage in strategic planning
  • Responsible for leading Acct Management Ad Product feedback & coordinate adoption for new ad products with Ad Operations team
  • Owns and manages post campaign workstreams for several high touch Brand Partner’s digital campaigns along with relationship management
  • Speaks confidently to all available UB Media channels and tactics as a subject matter expert
  • Assists sales team on key parent company relationships inclusive of strategic direction of business, parent company relationships, and brand relationships
  • Manages 1-2 direct reports including career development, mentorship, prioritization of work and ongoing feedback
  • Works closely with external and internal partners to ensure alignment on approach and strategy for Brand Partner digital campaigns
  • Shares responsibility with sales team on monthly financials and forecasting
  • Demonstrates ability to present and synthesize information to large groups of all levels, including Senior Executives
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
  • Proven track record in managing marketing programs within the retail industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay focused and organized
  • Background/interest in cosmetics/beauty/fashion fields
  • Ability to synthesize disparate pieces of information in order to see new opportunities
  • Vendor management skills
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience within Digital Marketing. Retail Media or Merchandising experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • BA/BS in Marketing or Business Administration
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Omni-channel experience
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Self-starter that can work independently
  • Media planning experience; preferably at an agency or RMN
  • Leadership experience
  • Ability to work in a startup like environment
  • Proven ability to work closely with technical (software development) teams
  • Excellent program management skills
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Understand how/when to incorporate qualitative data into decision-making
  • Strong presentation skills and an aptitude for synthesizing complex material so that it is clear, meaningful and actionable to a variety of stakeholders
  • Solid data analysis skills and ability to identify actionable insights from large data sets
