Mobis provides after-sales service parts support for Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Genesis. In addition to the distribution of genuine service parts and accessories, Mobis produces chassis, cockpit, and front-end modules; safety products, including airbags; headlights; anti-lock brake systems and electronic stability control products; steering parts; multimedia systems; UVO systems; injection-molded plastic parts, such as instrument panels, carriers, and bumpers; and steel wheel rims and decks.


Description

The Manager, Supply (Strategic Planning) will support the entire Supply team and Mobis leadership with clear strategic direction and decision making on systems and processes to ensure parts availability to support OE service parts requirements. This person will make recommendations and decisions on process and systems settings or systems improvements to ensure attainment of Key Performance Indicators (Fill Rate, Back Order lines, and Inventory Months of Supply). This person will lead a small team to include super user roles that will be responsible for global system settings and parameters that drive demand forecasts and supply replenishment. This person will also be responsible for leading the team that develops and improves standard operating procedures (SOPs), team performance monitoring, training, executive level communication/reporting, and supporting ad-hoc requests/ special projects. This leadership role will be responsible for growing and maintaining organizational intelligence.

Systems, data integrity, and process effectiveness are extremely important. This role is responsible for making recommendations and decisions in these areas that have a direct impact on cash (inventory investment), expenses (freight, warehousing), income (parts sales), and customer service (Fill Rate, Back Order lines).The Manger, Supply (Strategic Planning) role is pivotal in the Financial and Operational success of MPA.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction, analysis, recommendations/decisions, and team leadership/direction in an effort to establish and achieve organizational KPI’s - 35%
  • Generate KPI reports to ensure effective communication of performance against objectives for internal customers, external customers, and executive management 10%
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement process (or systems) improvements aligned to MPA goals and strategies in order to maximize organizational effectiveness in demand forecasting, supply replenishment, and expediting - 30%
  • Act as a mentor and develop/administer a Supply Team performance evaluation and training program to ensure consistent performance in order to maintain a high level of organizational intelligence -15%
  • Develop, review, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborate with Supply Team leadership on auditing adherence to SOP’s 10%


Key Duties

  • Lead KPI monitoring and generation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI reports, OE brand updates, VIP presentations, and other executive summaries and reports as needed to track KPI performance.
  • Provide leadership and mentor team members in all areas of Parts supply as needed in order to grow and maintain organizational intelligence
  • Further develop and ensure all Supply SOP’s are well documented and easily accessible for ease of use
  • Coordinate with OEs and Systems department to address any system problems effecting the planning and expediting of parts and accessories.
  • Support any ad-hoc requests for data or analysis
  • Coordinate with global partners to identify best practices and maximize global supply chain operations
  • Lead the setting of Supply system priorities and ensure we have effective solution designs, testing, and implementation of short and long term system enhancements.
  • Provide clear recommendations and decisions on improving processes or systems to ensure we have effective and accurate forecast and purchase plans to meet all Supply department KPI’s
  • Manage special projects as needed
  • Ensure team members adhere to MPA SOP’s, policies, and procedures
  • Act as the systems voice for Supply in the development or redevelopment of any major systems changes to ensure MPA processes are considered and represented in any changes
  • Provide expert level analysis of process or systems issues impacting KPI achievement
  • Study current forecasting and inventory management processes, and implement any necessary changes to improve accuracy and efficiency, with the goal of common, integrated processes to support OEs.
  • Communicate with Management of MPA and OEs issues and resolutions to provide better customer service through process improvement.
  • Effectively coordinate and communicate strategic plan/direction to internal and external customers
  • Develop and administer group and individual KPI tracking and training program
  • Recommend modification to OE terms and conditions to benefit dealers and HMA/KMA as needed
  • Provide strategic plan/direction aligned to organizational goals on how to achieve set KPI’s
  • Establish Supply KPI’s (group and individual) aligned to customer and internal organizational priorities
  • Provide guidance to Supply Analysts to meet department objectives for fill rate and inventory (MOS).
  • Promote a positive team environment with empowered employees where team members are held accountable


Required Qualifications


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required


Experience Requirements

  • 2 or more years directly supervising staff
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems/issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and follow-up to ensure positive results is required
  • 5-8 years of directly-related experience in inventory management


Skills

  • Experience with Word and PowerPoint preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to changing circumstances
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with inventory planning required
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills (Reports and Timelines)
  • Advanced experience with MS Access or other SQL preferred


Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $82,681.00 - $121,954.00 per year
