We are now looking for an experienced Manager, Strategy & Market Analytics Growth Accelerator with focus on Paper & Packaging markets. The main purpose of this role is to support Kemira becoming the leading provider of sustainable chemical solutions by providing strategic marketing insights and solutions. In this specific role you will drive Kemira's global strategic marketing activities and accelerate commercialization of new/ unique renewable and/or biobased materials into paper & packaging markets for Kemira. Furthermore, you will provide insights and market intelligence on how to create new business opportunities in the paper & packaging business within Kemira's Growth Accelerator unit. In this position you will directly report to the Director, Strategic Marketing, Growth Accelerator. This position can be located in any of our main locations in North America.


The position responsibilities include:

Market & Technology Intelligence

  • Jointly lead strategic marketing planning and execution to identify and create business opportunities, provide recommendations and implement key strategic marketing initiatives to support the business growth within the GA scope
  • Carry out relevant analyses for markets, competition, landscapes and technologies to provide insights and data for marketing strategy development.


Value Proposition Development and Commercialization Support

  • Laison with partners and customers across the value chain to understand current and future needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing activities.
  • Co-create business cases in collaboration with sales, applications and product management.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategy and value proposition validation for key programs and projects alongside Business Creation teams.


Ecosystem Immersion

  • Influence the target markets and create customer demand by: Planning, overseeing and managing stakeholder relations and strategy, with specific focus on brandowners, high-profile lead customers and key opinion leaders.
  • Liaise and collaborate with business Segment Marketing and Communications and Group Communications team.
  • Co-lead advocacy planning and activities for relevant GA focus areas.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Fluency in English with both strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of the target markets, including market dynamics, technical requirements, customer needs, value creation and market trends
  • At least 5-10 years working experience in the Paper & Packaging industry in a strategy and/or marketing capacity, preferably experience with multiple end markets. Understanding of B2C marketing is considered an advantage. Consulting experience a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel 10-20% of time, including within and outside of North America
  • Experience in sustainability topics a plus
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to provide strategic solutions
  • Experienced in conducting market and technology assessments and strategic marketing plans in addition to developing and proving value proposition hypotheses
  • Strong strategic thinking skills
  • Seasoned professional knowledge in marketing and/or business development and broad business knowledge of renewable and/or biobased materials
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in materials science, chemistry, engineering or other relevant technical field with MBA, or Masters in Marketing is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence and an ability to work across organizational boundaries combined with the ability to inspire and motivate people
  • Proven successful track record in expanding existing partnerships and creating new opportunities in new markets, and being involved in innovation and commercialization of new products
  • Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint abilities
